ROLE DESCRIPTION:


Bindable and its portfolio of digital insurance products and technology services have grown and we’re looking for a dynamic Insurance Product Manager to help bring us to the next level.  The ideal candidate has a proven background in insurance product development, management and marketing.  We seek a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and a keen understanding of how technology can improve distribution across the insurance ecosystem.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works directly with insurance companies, product providers and strategic partners to establish or maintain strong working relationships
  • Manages and grows relationships with product providers from discovery, through implementation and ongoing reporting and evaluation
  • Leads the evaluation and the cost/benefit of new market opportunities and presents findings to leadership team
  • Is responsible for regulatory and compliance requirements of existing and new products including appointments and licensing requirements as well as monitoring of pending regulatory changes
  • As a student of the industry, the Manager will monitor and establish deep understanding of key competition to ensure viability of existing and future products 
  • Is the Product Line Expert with a thorough knowledge of company product features and benefits as well as industry product trends.
  • Provides strategic direction on all product initiatives and makes recommendations based on research, data and other related proof points 
  • Provides product expertise to various internal areas including sales, marketing, technology, and finance
  • Manage the appointment process and work with internal teams to organize reporting, Support the agency in their needs; training, collateral, scripting, etc
  • Run point on carrier requests for updates to API, products, marketing, and communicate internally


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree required. Advanced degree or CPCU a plus.
  • Direct experience in the insurance industry preferably in product role with strong understanding of technology platforms, APIs, underwriting and the InsurTech space
  • Broad understanding of both commercial and personal lines insurance 
  • Background in B2B2C distribution models preferred
